Mona

The woman's name was Mona. Her hair mirrored that of a raven's feather, her eyes were as dark as night, and her skin was so pale it glistened. Apart from her beauty, what seemed to amaze Sunne the most was how, upon her arrival, the tides grew stronger as if they knew of her presence. Reluctant at first, Sunne decided to approach her; initially she was startled, but as soon as her eyes met his, she was mesmerized. They exchanged names, but it felt like they had known each other long before their paths had crossed. Sunne asked Mona why she was out at night, and she said that she yearned for the peace the darkness gave. When Sunne emphasized how stunning she was, she looked to him in disbelief and used the strands of her hair to cover her face, which Sunne pulled back behind her ear. They talked so long that the sun forgot it needed to rise.
